TWi Pharmaceuticals, Inc. headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company focusing on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of high barrier generic prescription products, and new drug products that will fulfill unmet medical needs.
Established in April, 2010 as a result of spin-off by Anchen Inc. of the United States, TWi Pharmaceuticals, formerly Anchen Pharmaceuticals (Taiwan), Inc., was the research and development center and manufacturing base of Anchen Inc. in Taiwan. After the spin-off, TWi Pharmaceuticals maintains close relationships with Anchen Inc. and its subsidiary, Anchen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Irvine California, USA.
TWi Pharmaceuticals led by a team of dedicated and experienced managers and professionals who have had long and successful career in generic and brand pharmaceutical companies in United States and Asia. Prior to spin-off, TWi Pharmaceuticals using its highly innovative technologies of drug delivery and formulation developed in its Neihu R&D center has contributed in more than 20 Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) submissions accepted by US FDA. Among the ANDA submissions, fifteen are filed with paragraph IV certification including five first to file that indicates no infringement of corresponding brand products and potential market exclusivity. Build upon the accomplishments, TWi Pharmaceuticals is targeting to file and obtain more ANDAs of high barrier generic drugs for US market. In addition, TWi Pharmaceuticals has obtained eight marketing approvals for Taiwan market.
