Ever since he founded the S.V. More Group of Companies in 1986, Mr. Alberto A. Santillana, Group Chairman and CEO, has always committed the Company to supporting programs aligned with its mission of the spirited practice of corporate social responsibility. Starting May 1995, the Company has institutionalized its mission of providing long-term scholarship grants to poor but deserving students from elementary and high schools, medical schools, seminaries and religious institutions, as well as to children of employees who need assistance and to those orphaned by parents who were employees of the Company.
To date, the Company has completed 15 scholarship grants to medical doctors and 5 non-medical educational endowments to meritorious individuals. There are currently 5 medical and 8 non-medical full scholarships being funded by the S.V. More Group.
All through its years of existence, the S.V. More Group, in cooperation with various community organizations and charitable institutions (such as the ABS-CBN Foundation, among others) has been involved in bestowing assistance to victims of natural calamities and disasters like typhoons and earthquakes. The Company has also been conducting medical missions in joint action with MD organizations, medical societies, church parishes, and local communities, like the Cardinal Santos Hospital Pedia Alumni Association, Philippine College of Occupational Medicine – Quezon City Chapter, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the St. Paul the Apostle Parishes in Quezon City, and Barangay Obrero Council, Quezon City.
