Recipharm was established in Sweden in 1995 and has since then grown to become a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) and is headquartered close to Stockholm.
Today, Recipharm operates 25 facilities in 10 countries (France, Germany, India, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, USA and the UK) covering most of the pharmaceutical dosage forms. Recipharm employs around 4.000 people and is listed on NASDAQ Stockholm.
In October 2014 Recipharm acquired Italian Corvette Group including all the operating companies based in Milan (Biologici Italia Laboratories, Edmond Pharma, Liosintex).
In February 2016 Mitim, located in Brescia, was acquired.
In Italy Recipharm operates four manufacturing facilities, specialized in parenterals of freeze-dried and liquid vials and ampoules, lyophilisation of sterile beta-lactam antibiotics in bulk, filling of beta-lactams powder, APIs synthesis oral solid form, Erdosteine business (API synthesis and finished dosages).
Recipharm has the competence, flexibility and facilities to take on challenging projects which require custom tailored processes. With a broad range of expertise and technologies available, Recipharm offers support and services ranging from development and procurement to full-scale manufacturing, distribution, technology transfer and stability studies. In addition to human pharmaceuticals, Recipharm can also supply medical devices and veterinary products.
