PHAREX HealthCorp, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pascual Laboratories, Inc., was formally established in April 1972 as the exclusive marketing, sales and distribution arm of Pascual Laboratories, Inc. (Pascuallab). As a matter of fact, PHAREX is short for Pharmaceutical Excellence – the very foundation on which the venture is built.
When Pascuallab formally appointed Metro Drug as its exclusive distributor of brands in 1987, PHAREX then secured the marketing of its generic medicines. The move was timely. Soon after, the Generics Act of 1988 was enforced.
Currently, distribution for PHAREX HealthCorp is handled by Zuellig Pharma.
PHAREX HealthCorp has maintained a strong presence in the Philippine generic pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. Pioneers in the promotion of company or uni-branded medicines, PHAREX has since grown into one of the industry’s most trusted and prescribed brands.
PHAREX offers premium quality, affordable medicines to millions of Filipinos every day.
PHAREX continues to market products owned and manufactured by Pascuallab: this includes 34 products in 22 Therapeutic Categories, including Chronic Care and Wellness.
