ETH Zurich regularly features in international rankings as one of the best universities in the world and the leading university in continental Europe. When the rankings are differentiated by specialist area, ETH Zurich is in the first twelve for Science and Engineering in the THE and QS listings. ETH Zurich’s 16 departments offer Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs in engineering and natural sciences. The language of instruction in the Bachelor programs is German, whereas English is the common language on the graduate level.
The newly created ETH Department of Health Sciences and Technology brings together researchers from the disciplines of medical engineering, neurosciences, food and nutrition, as well as movement sciences and sport. The goal is to work with partners from science and industry to develop future-oriented solutions to the key issues surrounding human health. ETH Zurich is working closely with hospitals and the University of Zurich in this field.
