Contripro is a Czech company founded in 1990 by a former researcher and scientist. The company engages in the development and production of biotechnological ingredients for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. During the last 25 years the company expanded to 51 countries around the world, and built large research and development centre with more than 100 researchers. Most of the company´s scientific activities are focused on using hyaluronan in tissue engineering, wound healing, nanotechnology and drug delivery.
Contipro is a world leader in sodium hyaluronate chemistry. It also manufactures final pharmaceutical products based on various polysaccharides, especially hyaluronan in original and modified forms. Recently Contipro developed a laboratory device for producing nanofibers that promises to revolutionize research into the use of nanomaterials.
