Chiesi is an Italian pharmaceutical family company founded in 1935 by Giacomo Chiesi. Since 2007, Chiesi has been active in the Netherlands. Headquartered in Parma, Italy, the company has a presence in 66 countries. Chiesi provides innovative pharmaceutical solutions and medications, and contributes to the improvement of diagnosis and treatment through the Knowledge Chiesi College. In addition, Chiesi promotes scientific research and talent from the Chiesi Foundation. Chiesi is active on five continents and has four research centers and three manufacturing facilities, and employs over 4000 people. The company had 2014 worldwide sales of over 1.4 billion euros and a turnover of 33 million euros.

We are an organization which strives to develop therapies for patients. Chiesi Netherlands comprises two different departments, General Care and Special Care. General Care engages in drug treatments in the field of asthma and COPD. Special Care focuses on cystic fibrosis, respiratory distress syndrome in premature infants (neonatology), hyaline membrane disease, kidney and liver transplants, stem cell therapy and genetic fat metabolism disease LPL deficiency. With 53 employees in the country, Chiesi is a modest but growing force in the Netherlands.
