The German Pharmaceutical Industry Association (BPI) e. V. has more than 50 years of experience concerning the development, authorization, and marketing of medicinal products and represents the full spectrum of activities of the pharmaceutical industry on both a national and international level.The BPI consists of approximately 260 pharmaceutical firms, including both small-medium sized enterprises and multinational companies. These include not only the classic pharmaceutical firms and service-providers, but also biotechnology and medical device companies, all of whom use the Association as a platform for information and communication to develop collaborative responses to the diverse challenges they face. As a consequence, the Association sees itself as both a service-provider and a representative for the member firms.
