The Biotech City is the cluster of biotechnology and life sciences of the Metropolitan Montreal. It is located in the City of Laval and includes more than 5,000 individuals in 80 companies and research institutes operating within a 4-km radius. The cluster comprises the companies in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, CRO and IT. In the hearth of the Biotech City there is a vertically integrated industrial park dedicated to life sciences where can be found two research institutes, an incubator, laboratory space for rent and land for development. The Biotech City is conveniently located close to Montreal and the International Airport, and is served by the subway.
