AstraZeneca is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world that provides modern medicines for the most serious diseases that challenge modern medicine. In Poland, the company has been present for over 20 years. In 1992, a Polish representative office of Astra was established, which in 1998 changed its name to Astra Pharmaceuticals Poland Sp. z o. o. After consolidating the company with Zeneca Polska Sp. z o. o. the name AstraZeneca Pharma Poland was created, until today.
Since the beginning of its existence, the company has been constantly placing great emphasis on development. Research and development is of key importance because clinical trials are an important pillar of AstraZeneca innovation. In 2011, the company established a global Clinical Research Center in Warsaw as the first in this part of Europe and currently one of six in the world.
