Assosalute (National Association of prescription pharmaceuticals) is the national association representing the pharmaceutical companies producing drugs for self-medication, over the counter – OTC – that is, those medicines that can be purchased freely without prescription. Its members jointly represent 90% of the OTC medication market in Italy.
