GE’s presence in the Philippines dates back to April 1890 when GE’s predecessor, Thomson-Houston Electric Company, installed the first electric street lights on Real Street in Manila. In 1935, we incorporated GE Philippines, Inc., and started to engage in a broad range of manufacturing, trading and service businesses locally.
Today, GE Healthcare’s Services Group partners and supplies ministry departments, hospitals, healthcare, research and training facilities throughout the country – from Tuguegarao City in the north to General Santos City in the south, with the latest diagnostic imaging equipment and healthcare information systems.
With over 1,100 local employees and a diverse range of products and services, GE remains strongly vested in the country’s priorities of economic and business development, as well as value and care for the environment and the Filipino people.
